The term "no go area " is a  British expression.

Most Canadians would not understand that type of statement.

Toronto is  a large  city. Ontario is a VERY large Proviince,  about three times larger  than France and Germany combined.

Ontario is quite big, but it is a safe place.

Toronto is pretty safe overall, just most of Scarborough (the east end of the city, where there is some gun crime but not as bas as the U.S.). Just use common sense and you'll be safe. =D
