  1. Tips do not ever come in the exact size to fit the cue. They're always 14mm, and must be cut down to the proper size of the tip.

I agree that if you're going to install it yourself, Moori is not the best choice unless you don't mind throwing money down the toilet if you s***w it up. And layered tips in general are not great for do it yourself jobs since you won't have a lathe to shape it. I'd suggest either taking it somewhere to get it done, or trying another tip that's not so expensive.

  2. No they don't make a 12mm tip, you get the 14 and trim it down to size once it's on your cue.  I'd suggest using Porper mushroom grazer to take the bulk of the tip down, then porper cutright.  the mushroom grazer is a razor blade that can cut into your ferule if your not careful, so just use it to take the high spots off.  the Cutright will cut it even with the ferule, but you can only fit about 13.25mm tip in there, that's why you have to take it down a little first.

The link the first guy gave you to seyberts is good, they have a whole tip changing kit available, and it has pretty much everything I use to change mine.

I'm gonna take a guess based on your question that this is the first time you're looking for a quality tip, just a thought but you might want to start out with a tiger or talisman, in soft/medium/hard.  that way you can see which you prefer without having to shell out what a moori costs, you can get 1 of each for a little more than 1 moori tip, about.

  3. Yes, this is a standard size. You could find two of them upstairs in my dresser drawer, lol, but I might suggest it would be better for you call a Billiard Proshop, or a cue mechanic who services cues in your area.

Also here are a few places you can order them online:
