I have run an ad in the local newspaper but I didn't have much luck with the flyers, where all could I hang them? I hung one in the laundromat and am going to hang one in the library but Walmart doesn't have a community board anymore. Where can I put out flyers and would putting a sign in my yard be alright? Thoughts anyone, any successful advertising stories would be appreciated.

  1. try craigslist and backpage.com

  2. me,

If you have any family or friends that work for a large employer in your area, you could have them post it on a company bulletin board.  Since many of the parents already have a child into the public schools, you might want to post some information on the local elementary school bulletin boards.

For online options, you can look at the early childhood section of your state website to see if you can post your daycare there.  Also Childcare Avenue will let you post your listing for free.  I included a link to them in the sources.

    Good Luck

  3. put fliers in the church's around you...contact the county daycare referral agency...
