Where can I appropriately scatter ashes in Kissimmee/Orlando area?

I have scoured the net and cannot see any public gardens of remembrance or similar spot in which to do this. Are all crematoriums in the US privately owned? Can anyone (local to the area) help please? Respectful answers only please.

Call the cemetary and pose the question. "where can I dispose of the ashes"

In most states cremains are not even considered human remains. they are simply ashes. There is nothing there that can harm us if discarded improperly.

Most people take them to a remote quite location and scatter them there.

I'm sorry for your loss.

There is a Thai Buddhist temple on Old Vineland Rd. It's a side street across off 192 across from the Walmart and Medieval Times.

The monks there are very friendly. They have a shrine there where you can leave some ashes for them to take care of, or you can probably spread it on the grounds. There are replicas of holy Buddhist sites there and a forest of Talking Trees (the trees have signs on them with instructions on how to do walking meditation.) Its a nice peaceful place.

I plan on having my ashes taken there when my day comes.

I have a relative who's ashes are scattered in the

Okefenokee Swamp, it is a place he loved.  Several of us had our own private service, read the poem "Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not Die"....we took a couple of pictures and fulfilled his last wishes by scattering the ashes into the wind of the place he loved the best and felt most at peace.

I hope that your loved one will be laid to rest where he/she was the happiest...God bless and thank you
