  1. You can do this at the airport pending that your arrival time at the airport the currency exchange place is open.  General rule of thumb, always exchange US dollars if you can into that country's currency.  Then try and exchange there currency back to US before you depart that country.  You will get the best exchange rates.

Strongly advice you consider getting travelers cheques to in case they are lost or stolen you aren't potentially out a lot of money.

  2. The currency is real. It's easier to change at the arrival or you can go to a ATM in the airport. No problem

  3. (Downtown L.A.)

520 South Grand Avenue, Suite L100

    OR

    currency exchange station

    Millenium Biltmore Hotel

  4. It seems unnecessary to exchange currency in advance. You can always do so at the airport cambio. However if you would really like to get some currency the best bet would be to contact any Brazilians living in the area either through the consulate/brazilian restaurants/student societies and ask them if they are willing to exchange with you. Most should have at least some Brazilian currency on them.

  5. The bank.

  6. if ya cant find a place. you can always exchange at the airport in Brazil when you land

    Boa Sorte

  7. You'll get the best exchange rates from a major international bank. LA will have many of those.
