Looks to me from the Dawes site that they are only sold in the UK and a few European countries.  Might have to email the company and ask if they have any US dealers.

I don't know where you can get one from a storefront in LA, but you can get one mail-order from Bikes Direct.  Link below to the Lightening 1200 for $439.95.

Their prices are delivered, and there is no sales tax unless you are in Texas.  I've bought from them before and know several other riders here who have as well -- really reliable outfit.

Their bikes are assembled and tuned before shipping, and then only partially broken down for shipping.  Anyone with basic tool skills can put one together in 15 minutes.
