Where can I buy Foie gras in Singapore?

  1. Actually it does come in a can and is the only way to get it fresh was not allowed when I worked there.

    I was in Singapore back in the 1980's (a Canadian Hotel owned chain) and I used find it at the Italian gourmet shops in a can, they sold the block style and mousse styles from France, and were at that time the only places in the whole area to sell it, now you could buy duck livers in the Chinese section at the fresh meat stalls like mad, but the pate has to still be made and they were very small.

    Call around to the ones listed in the directory under Ethnic food shops, or gourmet shops/delis or markets.

  3. I don't think foie gras comes in a can.  You try your luck at a specialty foods market.

    EDIT: It appears I stand corrected.
