Where can I buy Paprika and Eggplant in London??

I want to cook Ajvar which is a Serbian dish, but I'm having trouble finding the ingrediants! Is it the wrong time of year for this veg??

  1. I think you mean Sweet red bell peppers and Eggplant. There must be local farmers markets or vegetable stands you can go to. The summer isn`t over yet, and they sell those 2 veggies till at least September


  2. By paprika, do you mean the powder or the pepper itself?  If you want peppers, any grocer/supermarket or market stall sells them.  For the powder, you may have to go to a deli that sells it or, failing all else, try Harrods or Harvey Nichols food halls - but they'll be expensive!

    Eggplant is aubergine here and, again, you can get it in supermarkets and market stalls.

    Try ethnic areas.

  3. eggplant which i think is known here as garden eggs can be  found at grocery stores mainly where there is a multi cultural area and paprika any supermarket
