Where can I buy a 1000w hub motor for an electric scooter?

I'm looking for a 1000w 36v hub motor for an electric scooter. I'm not too sure if I can replace the motor itself with a dc motor as I haven't taken the current hub motor off. Does anybody know where or what I should do?

  1. You could try replacing the brushes,if that's the problem.
