Question:

Where can I buy a 75 ohm coaxial cable?

I just bought a Sony Bravia KDL-26M4000 TV and the manual says that for better picture and sound I should buy a 75 ohm coaxial cable. I can't find this exact product anywhere online. Can anyone tell me where to find it? a direct link would be awesome.

Or do you think if I go to best buy and ask for this they would have it? how much does this cost? I am on a budget.

Thanks

  1. That is just normal cable TV type cable.  It is available with the connectors almost everywhere:

  2. EBAY

  3. your best connection will be rca connectors the red white and yellow tpye unless you have an hd tv coax is pretty standard rg-6 or the quad shield wont make any difference for you as quad is for better shielding from outside interference witch you wont get for a line just behind you tv

  4. It actually says that? Bizarre.

It is refering to standard audio/video use coaxial cable. RG6 (as mentioned above) is a common example. While other types do exist (50 ohm, 93 ohm, etc) they are primarily used for CB and Ham radios, Arcnet and other specialized purposes.

Walk into any Best Buy, Circuit City, Radio Shack and tell them you need a coax cable for your TV. Expect to pay 4-10 dollars depending on length.

Edit: The other posts appeared after I started writing. Do not buy the cable from the stonewall link. A BNC connector will not do you any good.

  5. Cheapest place to get cable is Home Depot or Lowe's

  6. RG-6 Quad Shielded

  7. RadioShack or bestmight have it as for price between $15-$25 the link is just for info u could buy directly from link if u want
