Where can I buy a Go board set (Goban)?

I want to buy a Go board. It can be anywhere, online. I live in Bakersfield, CA near LA, so maybe if you know somewhere in China Town. Also can you find a place that sells them kind of cheap. I dont want too cheap like plastic boards and stuff and keep the board wooden. Thanks

Yes, Chinatown would be a good place to start and most likely you will find what you are looking for there. If not, try ebay and amazon.com. You will find just about anything you want at either of those sites.  Also check at flea markets and collector card stores and game stores in your area.

Like I said before, YM Imports has good quality boards. It's also where I got mine. But, if you want good quality, you have to pay for it. So, yeah, YM Imports isn't the cheapest.

You can also try comic book stores and hobby shops. If you don't know of one near you, just check the phone book.

Then you should check out your local go club, and ask them where they got their boards. Go clubs are also good for the practice with real people, at any rate. You can find a local one here:

If all those places fail you, buy online. I wouldn't recommend it, unless you have no other choice. The shipping costs can be pretty bad, and it's not easy finding a good quality board cheeply that way. It's also better to be able to see the board before you buy it.
