I am interested in buying a REAL train and some train cars. I would like to make the train cars into bedrooms and then live in it. Yea It sounds crazy but how cool would it be. I am interested In the old Diesel Trains. Such as the Sante Fe. Just like at Disneyland California Adventures. The orange and white/silver one.

  1. I know what you mean, my man.

I've always wanted a WWII vintage Imperial Japanese naval destroyer of the Kaibokan class.  I think I have a line on one, and I already have a flag but, ammo...  that's another story.

Maybe we ought to work together...

  2. Insulated box cars (refrigerated type)  can make good structures,   but be expensive to move.    First,  try contacting  whatever railroads serve your area,  then  progressively distant ones.

  3. d**n man that would be cool try calling like a rail road company or something they would know

  4. Don't bother with the ews link. That is a UK freight company - they do not own any carriages, although they do sell locos from time to time. But just imagine the frieghtage to the USA!!!!

  5. try looking inthe 'classified' section of "Railway Age" magazine.

    www.railwayage.com

  6. Here is a link to a company website that regularly put trains up for sale. There are none for sale at the moment but keep an eye on their disposals page.

    http://www.ews-railway.co.uk/

  7. This might  point you in the right direction.

    http://www.midamaz.com/

    It's a rental company but it's a start.
