  1. Depending on where and how long you are staying you might be better off buying an Oyster card.

You can buy them or travelcards at any tube station. See the link below

  2. Just get an Oyster card instead...It will work out cheaper If you are using for more than two days, you can get them from any station.

  3. at any tube station.

  4. You can buy one from any London Underground Station.  The Underground system is divided into zones so make sure you tell them just where in London you want to go. This will determine the price of the card. They are available and valid for use only after peak travelling hours usually from 09.30 onwards.

These cards are valid up to midnight on the date of travel. In addition to travelling on the underground system, they are also available on the bus system too.

Alternatively you can purchase an Oyster Card if you intend to do a lot of travelling during your stay.  Again these are available at any underground station.

  5. You can buy your Travelcard (now there is even the Oyster Card),  from most Underground (tube) stations.  Or if you are flying into Heathrow or Gatwick,  you can buy them from there.  You can use your card for travel not only on tube,  but also on buses.  They are a convenient way to travel and very economical.
