Where can I buy a cheap synthesizer and learn how to use it?

I live in the UK so only shops in the UK. I want a good synth that is reasonably cheap. How can I learn to use it? Is it just something that you have to figure out yourself or what?

Check pawn shops and classified for used semi-pro keyboard synths. Ito learn to play it, try getting a book from your public library. Plenty of people also sell video courses or teach lessons.

If the synth must be new, check out Casios. They're not great, but I seriously think pretty much everyone started out on them.
