  1. I don't believe that they have an antual store-front, but you could contact

    http://www.chessbaron.co.uk/

    for help.

    Bradford

  2. walmart

  3. argoooos!, :D

  4. go to gamestop

  5. John Lewis (http://www.johnlewis.com/Search/Search.a... or any big department store, just look online for specialist websites: http://www.wooden-chesssets.co.uk/chess2...

  6. ebay

  7. get with REDTOP on yahoo, they have chess and you can buy it online. that way you can play it anytime you want.

  8. You can probably get one from argos for quite expensive

  9. I am myself a very strong chessplayer (ELO 2560) and I can tell you that it is better if you buy him a Chessbook and not a Chessboard.

If he is a longtime Chessplayer then he have for sure already a Chess-set and don't need a new Set. Chessplayers usually don't need fancy Chess-sets. They prefer normal Staunton Chess-sets and a normal board. A book is much cheaper and  usefully for your Father.

If you want to make him really happy then buy him a book about chess combinations. That is what all Chessplayers like.

Good Books to buy would be:

Karsten Muller and Judith Polgar - The Chesscafe Puzzle Book: Test and improve your tactical Vision (20 USD, I would buy this book!!!)

    M. Tal - Attack with Mikhail Tal (20 USD, not bad, High quality)

    I. Chernev - Combinations: The Heart of Chess (10 USD, 650 diagrams)

... and if you want to make a nice joke then you buy him a second book:

Murray Chandler - How to beat your Dad in Chess (15 USD, it is a nice book and for sure a good laugh from your Dad)

You can buy this books online on amazon.com or on other webpages. You get them delivered very fast.

If you have more questions about it:

    torosorogoro@yahoo.com

  10. try www.amazon.com i dont know if they ship to europe or anything but you can try it you'll for sure get a nice one from there

  11. look in the local phone book for Chess Shop

or put this in your browser, there are a surprisingly large number of them! you could at least look for ideas from their catalogues or go the whole hog and buy it on-line.

  12. any stores like walmart, target, or toy stores should have one

  13. If you want a nice one, look for craft stores and stores that sell crafts from other countries.  I have seen beautiful chess games from parts of Africa and Asia.

  14. try Toys R Us

  15. my sister got a really posh one in a charity shop for a fiver, but not in Manchester, IT'S WORTH A TRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
