I want to operate a light inside a wardrobe by just opening the door, just like opening a fridge door. However, I can't find anywhere to purchase the switch. Anyone know where I can get one?

  1. 2 possibilities; your local model shop - what you want is a push-to-make/break switch

or your local tip (sorry, recycling centre) rip the same kind of switch out of an old fridge

  2.   Talk  to  someone  at  home  depot  .I  know  they  have  something  like  that  or  similar.

  3. If it's a low voltage swtch then you can get a microswitch from the likes of Radio Shack or Maplin.

  4. You need a Microswitch from any good electrical dealer. Quite cheap.

  5. All you need is a door jamb "normally closed" push button switch, wired like a regular switch. When the door is closed, the button is pushed in, opening the circuit and turning off the light. Opening the door allows the button to return to the "normal" position and turning on the light. Easy to find and install.
