Where can I buy a emergency weather radio?

You can buy a NOAA weather radio many places, including Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Meijer.  I just saw one at Meijer (like Walmart ) for $12.97 for a portable unit, a plug in one might be $30-$40. We have 2, one in our bedroom (plug in w/battery back up) and one walkie talkie style unit we take with us, like in car, basement, if severe weather is expected.

It may be too late into severe weather season, but sometimes your local sheriffs office or police station will have emergency radios for you to purchase from them, usually at a much lower price. Check with them, they might still have some. Otherwise, the cheapest place to buy one would be Wal-Mart, I think I saw one there for $30.

I got one on eBay. I think that Radio Shack also carries them.
