Question:

Where can I buy a flashgun for my Minolta 7000i?

The oroginal is 3000i gun but it seems not to work any more. When I put it on it jams the camera computer. Where can I buy a new one?.

  1. Minolta  camera company no longer exists.(it sold all camera division to sony)

    u may get (in rare chance)second hand or old stock from Bora bazar,VT Bombay.

    And sony flash will work but since it is built for digital SLRs it will cost u a lot.

    if possible shift to Digital photography..

  2. Best to buy used, as the hotshoe  was redesigned when the dynax/maxxum range was launched (it becomes an inverted deisgn rather than the conventional flat type) so even buying a  third party minolta compatible flashgun will likely be the wrong shoe.

    I suspect that the battery terminals inside the flashgun may have became contaminated with battery leakage or oxidation, open the battery hatch and give the terminals a rub with some emery paper until they are bright & shiny rather than dull.  This will improve the connection and may even solve your problem.
