  1. I will assume ( shame on me lol) that you are talking about the glow plugs used in diesel fuel systems.

    First of all why would you use an over ride, diesels do not like to start without it and also it gets sooooooooo cold up here you need it.  Engines won't start without it.


  2. A standard Ford starter solenoid will work.

    These are available at any parts store for under $20.
