Any and every pet store sells hamsters. They are really cool! The only thing is that their pee stinks up the room their in. You have to clean their cage often.

Hamsters because they are small and easy to keep. Or

Fishes because they are smaller and easier to keep. But a bit boring though.

Guinea pigs are the same as hamsters.

So you can see the advantages and disadvantages and see which pet you would want.

You cant purchase Hamster's in Australia, we have strict quarantine laws & they are not allowed to be imported here.

Try a Guinea Pig, there are lots of Cavy Clubs in Melbourne, go to a Cavy Show & see what breeds are available.
