Where can I buy a heavy jumping spider (Hyllus diarda)?

I normally keep tarantulas, but I absolutely LOVE the eyes of jumping spiders.

Hi Jeannie,

Is there a local animal sanctuary because if they have not taken one in then another branch might have and perhaps you can collect it.

Or

Do you have a universtity near by, they or a universtity they are associated with may have had one as a study animal and they want a good home for it.

Please let me know how it is going. Has your cat come home yet? I hope she is safe again please let me know as I am concerned.

Jumping spider can be found anywhere almost inside the house, i found many in my house, just look everywhere and you will found it.

I'm no expert but I don't think they are readily commercially available. They aren't in high demand as pets (or for other uses that I know of) so you might be better off just creating an environment in which they can thrive and they will come into your yard where you can observe them.

You could also catch a "wild" jumping spider but caring for it would be difficult and I would really suggest just creating a friendly place in your yard for them.

P.S. I also think they have the prettiest eyes.

P.P.S. I think your scientific name is incorrect, I've never encountered it before and when I went to research it, nothing came up. I've also never heard of a "heavy" jumping spider.
