Where can I buy a laptop in Nice, France

Hi,

I have just moved to Nice, South of France and would like to buy a new HP or Sony etc laptop, however with an English keyboard layout. Do you know where I may be able to purchase one. Thanks.

Oh, 2 days ago I was there, in CARREFOUR maybe? Well, if you buy a laptop with a french keyboard, just install ENGLISH, then you can type normal again :P

You won't find an English keyboard in France, unless you want to buy a second hand computer. Best would be for you to buy your laptop through the net (ie Dell) or at home and have someone ship it to you.

You can of course switch the keyboard to UK or US, as long as you know the keyboard by heart (I do it on my UK laptop whenever I need to type in French) but I don't think that's what you want.

Laptops with English keyboards are virtually non-existent in France outside cyber cafés - many keep a couple for foreigners.  The suggestion that you can convert is nonsense.  Your best bet is the internet.

Carrefour, Castorama or maybe a computer store! You can instal whatever language you like.
