  1. Plaza Oxford street there is McDonald's up stairs you can buy an happy meal children meal for 1.99 very nice there are chips nuggets and a bottle of Tropicana orange juice if you don't want chips you can have a bag of fruits. Perfect meal in a very nice place. And then you can have for 59 pence's from another MC Donald's a nice ice cream cone. What do you want more for 2.59 ?

  2. Many places. If you are talking about buying a ready meal to eat at home, Tesco, Sainsburrys and many other retailers offer descent 'ready meals' costing between 2-3 pounds. If you are talking about eating out, things are more difficult, but I suppose you could find something around 3 pounds in McDonalds, Burger King etc. (Although as a health professional I would nor recommend that..!). Also, I have had lunch costing around 3 pounds many times in small cafes. An omelet or baked beans cost that much. Also in Planet Organic you can get descent organic high-fibre food (that can feel you up) for around 3 pounds.

  3. Theres a chip shop just outside Tottenham court station across from the Center point nice chips yummy

  4. Greggs?

You can get a hot pasty and a drink for under three squid...

  5. You do not even have to pay £3.00.  Go to St Martin-in-the-Fields where I believe they run soup kitchens.  There are other soup kitchens running all over London.

  6. go outside a bit.u cannot get a decent meal for less than £3 in central london

  7. Subway sub of the day

  8. Any noodle bar. You can do one of those all you can eat or a buffet. They are usually both eat in and take away.

  9. I'd be surprised if you can get a slice of Pizza in the Capital.

    McDonald's or Boots meal deal.

  10. go to greggs :D

    mega ownage.

  11. work at McDonalds and wait for your lunch break

  12. Now I think it's a bit unfair to answer this valid question with "go entertain school kids for money and hope they feed you" or "get out more" or "go to a soup kitchen".

As some have suggested you could go to a supermarket and get a sandwich/ready meal/etc. Wetherspoons or other pubs often tend to serve 2 hot food mains for £5.99/around £6 which tend to be reasonably generous in size. Fast food places such as McDonalds, Subway, local greasy spoon cafe etc also can easily find something under £3. If you can stretch it many restaurants do substantial lunch menus (of say 2 courses) for £5 or a dinner main for £5.

If you're looking for specific places, I can't vouch for their current prices but The Katana at the International (just off Trafalgar Square/Leicester Square) is a nice restaurant that did mains for around £3 also there is a bar on Shaftesbury Avenue (corner with Piccadilly Circuswhich did mains for £3, with things like chilli con carne, fajitas, etc (think it's called Stanza).

It certainly can be done. Central London is a big place though so if you're going to be in a specific area would be easier to advise.

Sadly there are no IKEAs in central London that service food. Though would agree the food there is inexpensive and tastes ok. :)

PS VEG buffet is £3. :)

  13. Weatherspoons lunch special, you used to be able to get a burger for 3 quids...

  15. i dont know how much that is in american money.....but  maybe u can call a local school, they will feed u for cheap and u can visit and  entertain the kids,  here in the states u can get a good meal and milk for 2 dollars

  16. when you say a meal do you mean just something to keep you going or somewhere to take  someone out for a meal in the evening if its the latter then i dont think you can anywhere, not just london, but if its a mid day meal say then theres quite a few that have already been mentioned.
