Where can I buy a microwave leak detector?

I would like to test old microwaves to see if their door seals work correctly. Do you know which stores would carry a microwave detector (like Home Depot, Best Buy, etc) or would I have to order one online? Thanks.

  1. If the door has not been removed or damaged most likely the oven is ok. Where older ovens leaked was rust holes in the oven at the top near the stirrer blade. A good leak detector cost money for a one time use. Microwaves produce a radio signal not radiation.

  2. You can probably get one at amre supply or reliable parts. Both have online stores.

Last time I bought a simple one for around $30. It has a meter gauge on it to show amount of radiation.

  3. You can buy it from

    Hope this helps

    Good luck!
