If you are looking for the device now I would hold off. Someone bought a Bold off of eBay and the PIN was disabled by RIM, as it was a pre-production unit that wasn't supposed to be sold.

Once the Bold is officially released (I believe Rogers is rumored to have it release don July 25th if there are no delays) you can purchase an unlocked device from a retailer. Check Cellhut.com, and also do other searches for "unlocked BlackBerry Bold" to see if any retailer is selling them.
