Where can I buy a new cell phone?

Do I have to buy a new cell phone from my carrier (a Verizon store), or can I go buy a new one at a store, like Best Buy, Car Toys, and still use it with my current Verizon plan?

if best buy has a verizon kiosk then yes.

costco, and circuit city both have verizon vendors in the store. there are limited phones to choose from, but it's satisfactory. I bought a phone from circuit city a few years ago and verizon was great. I was happy with the service.
