Where can I buy a plain White Ash Stick? Or find a replacement?

I need to find one about 1" x 1" x 16". Can't find any online, PLEASE HELP! Thanks.

  1. Hardwoods, like ash, are normally sold random length and width to maximize yield (unless you are buying poplar or red oak at a big box).

    So you are probably going to have to find a hardwood dealer or cabinet shop that can take a 5/4" ash board and crosscut and rip it to size for you.  This is normally the size I toss in the scrap bin.  So a better bet would be to cozy up to a woodworker who has used ash recently.


  2. Ummm, check Big Lots, Good Will, etc. for a baseball bat, wooden.  Then have the bat cut to size.  All ball bats, with the exception of the some of the new expensive pro ball maple bats, are made from ash.  

    Most cabinet shops don't do ash anymore because of the cost, and most lumber centers don't do pieces that small, or order lots that small.

  4. try a hardware store... they probably have full round ones instead of quarter round
