Where can I buy a portfolio?

Question

I want to have a portfolio for either an acting career or a singing career. Where can I buy one? I don't really know what to put in it so can you help? I know I put photos but photos of what exactly? I mostly want it for an acting career. Can you just infrom me on what a portfolio is and how it helps to have a singing or acting career? Thanks!

A portfolio is a record of the work you have done as an actor or singer.  If you don't have any experience, you can't have a portfolio!  If you're just starting out, it could include school and community theatre productions, but most working actors don't include them once they get enough professional credits to fill the portfolio up.  The purpose of it is to give audition panels and casting directors an idea of what you have done and where your acting strengths lie.

Generally you place a glamour shot of yourself with a bio / resume on the back. You want your photos to focus on the type of work you are looking to do. You also want to include photos of you in plays, TV, movies.
