I just bought an XM radio for my car an the antenna wire is about 1 foot short making it so that I can not run it like I want to so that it is completely hidden! I found a 10 foot extension for $15 but I don't even need that much and I was hoping to find something cheaper. Any ideas?

  3. Go to Kmart.

  4. $15 is pretty cheap and perhaps you can hide the xtra wire - BUT, I'm concerned when you say "completely hidden."

You mean the cable, right? Not the antenna?

Make sure the antenna is completey exposed in order to receive the signal correctly. If are planning to hide the antenna, you may be way ahead of me and have already tested the set with the antenna hidden under similar circumstances (except for the missing one foot length). I'd hate to see you go to all that work just to find out you can't receive the signal!

It must be frustrating to get so close, yet so far. Have you searched for a length that is long enough and you can just subsitiute it for the cable that accompanied the set?

If that ain't happenin' XM's tech support is very good. You can contact them by phone or email.
