where, online, can I buy a ticket so a 15 year old can fly ALONE across a few states?

Like not expensive tickets..

everywhere I went there needs to be at least one adult to travel with the minor. no adults will be coming.

  1. I do this all the time, just go with a credit card to a airline company and put your information in and there you go. I even booked an airplane ticket for out of the country at 16. And i had no problems and I never do... lol.. but mostly southwest is the cheapest!

  2. last year i flew by myself on jetblue, and mom just booked me as an adult. i was 15 as well. had no problems at the airport. the agent just asked mom if she wanted to walk with me to my gate, and she got a pass to go through the security checkpoint.

  3. It is possible for a 15-year old to fly alone. However, you cannot buy a ticket online to do this. Airlines often have special requirements for unaccompanied minors, including a signed consent form from a parent or guardian. That can't be done online.

The ticket can be purchased through a travel agent or by calling the airline directly. You can't get it on the Internet.

  4. you can call the airline and you will need to have a stewardess watch the minor during the flight, and the parent (legal or biological) needs to approve this....

I have done it many times... it cost $100 extra last time I did it

  5. I don't know where you're destinations are to and from, Spirit Air (reasonable tix can be found on line )has not ever required an adult fly with my 15 yr old son.  I have been sending him to visit his father for 8 years now - 2 weeks in summer and Christmas Holiday. I buy a regular round trip ticket. When he checks in to get his boarding pass I advise them at the counter he is minor flying alone, I get a security pass to wait with him at the departure gate. As he proceeds to board the plane he reminds them again at the gate that he is flying alone. The attendants on the plane pay a little extra attention to him.  United use to do this too the few times I found cheaper tickets out of Philadelphia......   it has NEVER  cost me extra and I never had to call the airline.........

JetBlue, Southwest, and Spirit (depending on available airport) and sometimes Frontier are usually the least expensive.
