Question:

Where can I buy ballet shoes/slippers for my preschooler?

The Danskin shoes don't fit. The small is way too small and the medium is way too big. These are the shoes that WalMart sells. My daughter's class is only 6 weeks long, so she doesn't need really expensive shoes. But she needs something. Any ideas other than Danskin? Where can I get them? We're in Virginia.

Thanks!

  1. Try zappos.com, they usually upgrade shipping to next day and it's free shipping to and from if they don't fit and you have to return them.

  2. Look in the Yellow Pages for a dance shop .. they should have a much better selection then Walmart.  If you have no luck, call the place she is taking lessons and ask where they recommend.

I would recommend online, but if you're not sure of her exact size it's better to buy in person.  Good luck

  3. Payless, Walmart, Kmart, Discount Dancewear (online) or if you have one try a second hand kids clothing store they usually have them!

  4. I just bought some at Payless.  They aren't Danskins, but they work in a pinch!  They also carry tap shoes.  Good luck!

  5. I have seen Ballet items in Target. In the girls clothing section.  But I'm not sure what brand they sell so I don't know if it's Danskin or not.

Try giving them a call and see what brand it is.  That;s the only other place I have seen them beside walmart.

  6. payless

  7. Bloch and never buy online because most dancers have different sized bauls (the bit under your toes)

  8. Baby r' us

  9. Nordstrom, payless, walmart or a dance school may sell them.
