Where can I buy cheap furniture?

Recently my mom has been tired of me and my friends hanging out in the living room so she said we can fix up the basement and stay as long as we want down there. We're trying to find furniture for a cheap price that teenagers can get. We already looked at craigslist but it would help if anybody knew anywhere else to buy furniture for a low price.

  2. you can do a whole room or household at goodwill. garage sales. whats cool about it. you can buy on a budget. paint tables cool colors. cover old chairs. its really alot of fun. ive seen a bench like couch, built from the wall. 3 in. foam covered. for bottom. then all different colored throw pillows.  that really looks good. and i bet it would sleep good. hope i helped.collage kids always dump good stuff.i still have a microwave from 5 yrs.ago.lol

  3. IKEA has some pretty good stuff at some reasonable prices.  It requires assembly most times but if you add some glue, and take your time, a lot of additional value will be added to the pieces.

If that is still too much money, go with the thrift stores and yard sales.

  4. Sometimes you can find cheap furniture in yard sales and thrift shops. If you have a little more than that to spend, take a look at Close-out stores like Big Lots.

    Good luck!

  5. ikea?

  6. Check out the Used Furniture Stores.  And places like Salvation Army and Goodwill.

Also... Go to any college, university, grocery store, apartment complex, or laundromat and put up a sign with your ph# stating what you need... be specific... a couch, recliner... coffee table... whatever, and that you need used furniture in good condition "for free or cheap" and that you will come and haul it away.  Trust me, you'll probably get lots of calls!

Also, not sure what your financial situation is, but if you are willing to do a little dumpster diving, I live in a large apartment complex and folks cart big furniture out all the time.  Often there are couches, tables, chairs, headboards... cruise around, see what looks good!
