  3. You don't need worms to create compost - they create something different which is worm cast. A compost heap that is truly composting through bacterial action is far too hot for worms to survive. You need to wait till after it is done composting before you add worms. They will mix up the compost and digest much of the organic material to create a rich soil amendment.

  4. Buy them where ever live fish bait is sold and they are cheap.

  5. Find a pile of horse manure outside a stable. Dig into it. You'll find tons of red wigglers aka manure worms. That's what I did.
