  1. Pointe shoes are taken extremely seriously in the ballet world. Girls are only allowed to get them with many years of training and teacher permission. This is because they are VERY dangerous and take a LOT of strength, balance, technique, and knowledge of ballet to dance in. Even girls that have had enough training have gotten serious injuries in pointe shoes because they lost concentration on their placement for a few seconds. Please do NOT buy pointe shoes! For one, you don't know any steps or exercises to do in them in the first place, so what's the point? You also don't know how to sew the ribbons and elastics on (which you need or the shoe will slip off your foot), and you don't know how to break them in or take care of them. They hurt a LOT and are very hard to dance in. Not to mention they're about $70 a pair!

Ballet slippers are what beginners use, and you are still a beginner even if you took a few classes in the past. You can get them and some leotards from a dance supply store in your area or on discountdance.com. You will find flat shoes much easier to dance in and take care of. It would be a very good idea to take classes, as it's impossible to teach yourself correctly without a teacher.

    here are some in Singapore!

  3. Try going to dancediscount.com you'll find a lot of cheap(er) dance clothes there!

But what brand of pointe shoes do you want?  If they don't have them at dancediscount.com then you'll probably have to google them and get them sent in (unless you have a dance store near you that sells them- but most dance stores won't have them if dancediscount doesn't)

If you are just starting getting back on pointe, I recommend Freed pointe shoes or Bloch European Professionals.

    Good luck! =)

  4. You can buy it from Amazon, cheaper than anywhere alse:

    Hope that can help you/.

  5. No, you are NOT getting ballet pointe shoes. You can only get ballet slippers, you have to have trained for many CONTINUOUS years to go up on your toes. Don't come crying to me if you get hurt. But, for leotards, go to discountdance.com

You can't just get ballet pointe shoes because "you really want them", you have to have been dancing from the year you quit until now, sorry.
