Where can I buy contact lenses over the counter?

I have a recent contact lens prescription and have run out of lenses but need some desperately. Is there any store in the UK where I can go in and buy them over the counter?

Specsavers - as long as you have your prescription and you haven't got an astigmatism (where one of your eyes is rugby ball shaped instead of perfectly spherical - they have to order these in), you can pop in and purchase contact lenses over the counter. I think they are around £10 for a set of monthly disposables.

Or if you already have a prescription and have just run out of lenses, go to the place that were sending you your lenses, they should give you an extra pair!
