Where can I buy current U.S. postage stamps in Canada (toronto)?

Need to send a self addressed stamped envelope to the States... but I need their stamps since they are mailing ME back. I realize I can go to a stamp collector's store and pay a rate above, but I want to buy them at the actual cost and not play $3.00 for something that is $0.69. Are there any authorized U.S Post dealers in Canada???

  1. Maybe you can get them off the internet?

(nevermind going to Niagara falls was an awful idea.)

Paying the 3.00$ seems like the best because they usually don't sell stamps individually anyway, usually in books of 20 that cost 8.20$.

  2. Go to U.S.P.S.. com, you can buy stamps online directly from P.O.

  3. A local stamp dealer would probably be the best place to get the postage you need.  First check on the US post office website to confirm the amount you need to mail the expected item from the US to Canada.

$3. for the stamps you need sounds a bit high.  Many stamp dealers would have US mint hinged stamps that have come in to them in collections.  Modern stamps that have been hinged are often not really collectible and the dealer may be willing to sell them to you for less than they would normally - fine for postage, but not for selling as a collectible.

This may mean that you would have to get more than one stamp to make up the rate that you need, but they would certainly still be valid for postage.  (This works fine with most US or Canadian stamps, but be careful with some other countries that may have demonetized older stamps (ie they are no longer valid for postage for some reason or other))

  4. y dont u just stop being cheap and just pay the $3.00
