I would imagine there are no suppliers from Peru importing it, and if the PETA people got wind of it the stores that did would be boycotted.

Even in Peru it is a specialty thing, actually it is a popular dish at weddings, so in the US don't expect tot find it in many or nay supemarkets, even hispanic grocery/butcher shops.

From what I heard a cuy is a rat, they just call it cuy instead of rat, so they can eat it, when I heard that I thought that was the most repulsive disgusting thing I've ever heard of. If you have friends that eat that you should teach them that it is unsanitary and that they should eat regular food instead. I don't think you need to cook something like that for them, instead if they have any class they should be gracious to eat normal food that you cook for them.
