I would like to buy perhaps some imported books, DVDs and stuff, especially food from France in England. Do you know where I can go and purchase imported French products?

I heard there is a large French community in South Kensington, are there French shops there like there are a lot of Asian and Polish shops?

  1. Yes, indeed there is a large French community in South Kensington , London. The French Consulate is located in South Kensington as well. There is also a French school which allows French children to continue their education in French. Apart from that, there is also a French book shop selling books in French language, an alimentation ( grocery ) Francaise and a boulangerie ( bakery ).

  2. You can get a range of french food from Borough Market, nearest tube London Bridge. There is an entrance to the market right opposite the Market Porter pub. The little shop/stall is the first on the right as you go in.

It called something like La March au....?

They sell lovely duck confit, which we enjoyed last night. They do fish soups, pates, cheeses, tins of cassoulet, french bread and even lavender from Provence.

Other stalls on the market sell large ranges of cheeses.

Borough market is open Thursday to Saturday in the afternoons. Happy shopping and eating!

Branches of HMV and Zavvi sell french DVDs, and the larger bookshops will sell french literature, if not the popular titles.

  3. Lidl have a French food promotion this week

  4. What do you mean, "France in England?"  Do you know that FRance and England are 2 completely separate countries???

If you mean that you live in England, and would like to buy french products, then for books and dvds I suggest you try french amazon and ebay.
