Xerosis is a dry skin condition that can range from mild to fairly severe. In some cases, a prescription lotion is recommended. You would need a prescription from an MD. However, in most cases, a moisturing lotion from a drug store is sufficient. Don't just ask a clerk for suggestions. Talk to the pharmacist who has extensive medical training.
