Wow, that sure is not a lot of money for an acre of land.  The link below has property in the Ozarks for sale, but not that cheap.  Take a look.  Perhaps there are some parcels of land that have been forclosed on for lack of a tax payment.  You could go to the court house and see if there are any available.  Best of luck to you.
