Where can I buy stamps in Austalia when the post offices and shops will be shut because its Xmas Day?

Are there any vending machines or anything? And do you know how much it costs to send a standard letter to England, from Australia, 1st class? Thanks

What is the point of buying stamps if the  Postal services are closed down for Christmas?   Be sensible,  do it after they re-open after the holiday,,, If the letter is that urgent, why leave it so late..  Phone instead, or E mail..
