Where can I buy the best multi-region/region free DVD recorders with Freeview?

I'm in the UK. and I own a couple of Region 1 DVDs but since loosing the means to play them, after the small DVD player I used to use for them just disappeared from the sitting room, I badly need some way t view this discs.

If possible, I need a resonably priced(since the format is being replaced by Blu-Ray, it should be cheaper anyway) DVD recorder that as well as being able to play any region disc I put in it, and record to about all DVD formats, I need one that can pause live TV. Freeview Playback I've read can, but I don't know if you need a hard drive or something to do this.

I always miss programmes & films by getting interrupted, so it would be immensely helpful, but if they don't sell with the ability to pause live TV, one with Freeview, region free encoding and multi-format recording would be good enough for me.
