OK. I'm thirteen and ill be fourteen next month. I am thinking about what kind of car I want to drive not as my first but after a little while. I want a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda (convertible). I don't want to spend more than 5,000 dollars and I want a crappy unrestored one as I project car. Where can I buy this and if you tell me how to pick a best answer then I certainly will. I'm pretty new on here.

  1. cars.com is the best. dont listen to these other people. my brother and cousin both got cars from cars.com. to choose this as best answer just hit " select as best answer" right by my answer

  2. Start going to carshows and talking to everyone. Us carguys love to setup young enthusiasts with projects, ideas, and help. The chances are slim for a 70 'Cuda convert, but definalty dont stop dreaming. When I was 14 I bought my first car, a 67 Chevelle SS, just a shell and missing EVERYTHING. I even skipped high school senior prom to put my transmission in because I was so excited to drive it. But the important thing is, get into the car-crowd and make friends. Good luck!

  3. Wow... $5,000?

Good luck... for that amount, you "might" get the shell with plenty of rust and a shredded interior. Keep checking collectorcartrader (Autotrader's sister site) and restorer websites. I've seen a few (hardtop, mind you) around, missing hoods, fenders, engine, rusted-up, etc. and the owner wouldn't take less than $7500.

I'd consider bumping up your savings a bit.

I wish you luck, and I'm rather envious, as I'd love to turn back the clock and find one myself!

*EDIT* - you're not going to find that vehicle on cars.com, craigslist (slim chance), or etc.

  4. ebay motors or look on craigs list in area for some good deals.

    good luck bro

  5. Try ebay or carsoup!

Or just search online for a dealer nearest u!
