  1. Check out trade-a-plane.  However most instruments unless they're really old, unrepairable are reused.  Also, how are you going to get analog gauges to respond to your flight simulator that only draws the needles, and doesn't produce output voltages?

    Good luck.

  2. ebay

  3. Honestly, don't spend the money. Before you know it, you'll get sick of it. If you want it to be so realistic you should go and get a pilots liscene. You might end up paying the same amount of money on the simulator as the real thing.

  4. Start with www.barnstormers.com; but get the real thing to work right might be an issue.

  5. As for making those gauges function, you really won't be able to. The altimeter, vertical speed indicator and airspeed indicator all require air pressure to operate, which you can't reproduce at home. The other gauges are electrical, but that doesn't help any. Even if you got and hooked up a comm unit to receive VOR signals with, the needle on the VOR would never change because your house isn't moving anywhere!

I don't think you'd like the prices on the equipment anyway. Not cheap! If you can find broken junk ones, go for it, but it's going to be nothing more than decoration. (however, that's some very cool decoration!)_
