Where can I buy toy Knights for my son thay are not Schleich brand?

My son's 6th b-day is coming up and he says he wants toy knights and horses, but I can only find fancy sets that are like $13 per figure. Anyone know where I can find knight (or pirate)toys that won't break the bank?
