  1. I agree with the other people who answered this question!

A motorcycle helmet is really only good for one impact. If you drop one, then they are essentially useless as there may be hairline cracks which weaken it. The last thing you want if you come off at 60 or 70 mph is to find that your helmet (with your head in it) hits the ground and then cracks open like an egg.

A new helmet is not that expensive. I have seen cheap ones for £45 (or $90 depending on the exchange rate). These weren't full face ones, but they are preferable to one were  you don't know what it has gone through.

A general rule of thumb is that the amount you spend on a helmet is how much you think your head is worth.

  2. I don't suggest buying a helmet over the internet.  You need to try it on and check the fit.  If you do buy one on the internet, promise that you will check helmets out at a store first and find one that fits you well.  Then order the exact same helmet on-line, if that is what you want to do.

  3. A used Helmet from a Hot Humid Climate?  YUCCCHHHH!!!!

  4. Probably not the best idea. 1st there are head lice. 2nd. The helmet may have been dropped and have hairline cracks. 3rd a 3 year old helmet is about practical limit of use and a 5 year old helmet should be discarded. Bite the bullet and buy a new medium quality helmet such as HJC. These wear well meet all safety standards and I've had 3 over the years. The only differences in my shoei is a couple grams of weight  and the paint job. Have fun, good luck.

  5. Go to any motorcycle dealer or look in the yellow pages for motorcycle gear and get a NEW helmet.

You don't ever buy a used helmet.     You don't think protecting your head is worth a new helmet and more than $50?

  6. Why in the world would you buy a used motorcycle helmet?  That's like using someone else's underwear.

    Buy a new one.

  7. I'm assuming this is a joke. What do you want, one that has crashed only once? Even if it's not damaged at all, get a new helmet with DOT and Snell ratings. This is  a stupid place to try and save money.

  8. New helmets: I see them all the time at the big flea markets from $35 on up. I'd avoid buying a helmet on-line. You want to try it on. Don't try one on at a dealership then buy the same thing on line-that is just rude. Let the small businessman get the extra few bucks from you.

  9. Tomball pawn shop has a few

If you came to magnolia 2 days ago i would have given you 3

if you do go to the pawn shop tell Debbie Johnny from B&Bs told you about them

  10. Check the Internet and by it from a motorcycle store, not EBAY.
