Where can I buy virgin coconut oil in Toronto?

I want to try this oil for cooking purposes. I would like to be able to get this in a central downtown location if possible, preferably somewhere in the vicinity between Bathurst and Parliament and Bloor and Front. However would be prepared to go slightly further north, east or west. Which brands are available? Of these, which do you prefer and why? What should I expect to pay? Is there a difference between the Phillipine brands and Caribbean? Personally, I would prefer a Caribbean brand but will take what I can get. It has to be food-grade i.e. not using it for hair or massage oil. Thanks!

  1. Most Oriental or Indian markets would carry it for you.

  2. Health food stores and Indian stores. (use for cooking)

  3. Coconut oil & virgin coconut oil are available in any Indian grocery store:  try Girard St.  there are tons of Indian stores in the area

I am not sure what store will carry which brand & also the cost.
