Where can I cash my Italian postal saving certificates/postal bonds?

I'm in Montreal Canada and no bank here will accept and cash my Italian postal saving certificates/bonds. I would have to go through the Italian consulate and it would take a minimum of 6 months before italy cashes them and transfers the money into my account. Does anyone know or have a suggestion of a financial institution or brokerage firm that will cash them right away? Thank you

Have you tried contacting Poste Italiane directly? If the amount is worth it, maybe you could take a plane to Italy and do it yourself...
