Where can I donate old college textbooks?

My bookstore wont accept them. I dont want to go through the hassle of selling anything on amazon or ebay. Ive tried listing them for free for other college students but its been over a year and they are still taking up space in my closet. I dont want to throw them away but what specific organization can I give them to that would be a right fit? I don't want to burden Goodwilll with them since I dont think they will sell something like a geography textbook. Any suggestions?

My guess would be a used book store, or try asking one of your professors. They ought to know if anyone.

You can put them on Freecycle.org in your area and see if anyone wants them. Or craigslist.org. Or you could donate them to the local library?
