Question:

Where can I donate things in Auckland CBD?

I'm moving on the weekend, and I need to get rid of stuff. Tomorrow I'm taking a buttload of cds to Real Groovy, but inevitably there will be some they don't take - is there somewhere I can donate them? My plan at the moment is to just leave them outside my place or something with a 'free' sign - someone will surely take them, but if there's somewhere that I can give them that will be better.

Also I'll be getting rid of a lot of clothes (I got fat, doh) - some I will be taking to the Recycle Boutique, but there will be a lot not suitable for there. Where in the CBD can I drop them off?

  1. The Auckland City Mission is at 140 Hobson Street. There may also be a Hospice shop or Red Cross. All would be happy to take anything . I am unsure where in the city a hospice shop would be.

  2. Drop everything you dont want at the Salvation Army they are right across road from real groovy

  3. Methodist Central Mission - Upper Queen Street,

Vincent de Paul - don't know where they are, but cartons left at the Catholic Cathedral will find there way there,

Missions to Seaman - just along from the Ferry Building,

Salvation Army - quite a big shop in Upper Queen St just over K Road.

    YWCA too, I think.

I hope this information is of some help.
